Donations & Tax
Are my donations tax-exempt? expand_more
Yes, all donations to Vanprastha Foundation are eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. You will receive an automated certificate via email within 48 hours of your contribution.
How is my money used? expand_more
We maintain a strict 90/10 ratio. 90% of every donation goes directly to field initiatives (planting trees, educational kits, medical supplies). The remaining 10% supports our lean operations and ground staff in the mountains.
Our Reach
Which villages is Vanprastha active in? expand_more
We are currently focused on the Garhwal and Kumaon regions of Uttarakhand, with intensive projects in over 12 high-altitude villages. Our goal is to expand to 50 villages by the end of 2025.
Can I visit the project sites? expand_more
Yes! We encourage our "Guardians" to see their impact first-hand. We organize curated immersion trips twice a year for major donors and volunteers. Contact us to learn about the next scheduled visit.

Absolutely. We are always looking for digital guardians in fields like graphic design, content writing, and fund-raising coordination. You can support the Himalayas from anywhere in the world.
