Access to menstrual hygiene and awareness remains a significant challenge in many rural communities. Addressing this critical need, Vanprastha Foundation organized a Sanitary Pads Distribution Drive aimed at promoting health, dignity, and informed awareness among women.
Rural women were invited to participate in an interactive session focused on the importance of menstrual hygiene, sanitation, and overall well-being.
Women
Empowered
Direct Engagement & Trust
The initiative was led by Mrs. Sunaina Misra, Director of Vanprastha Foundation, who personally engaged with the women. She took time to understand their challenges, listen to their concerns, and openly discuss their needs in a supportive and respectful environment.
This direct interaction helped build trust and encouraged meaningful conversations around topics that are often overlooked or stigmatized.
Knowledge as a Foundation
"An informed and healthy woman becomes the foundation of a clean and aware household."
When women are educated about hygiene, the impact extends beyond the individual, influencing families and the broader community. The initiative aimed to normalize conversations and empower women with knowledge they can carry forward.
Kumaoni Celebration
The interaction concluded on a joyful and culturally rich note, as the women came together to celebrate through traditional Kumaoni music and dance. This moment of shared expression reflected their enthusiasm and unity, highlighting the importance of creating safe, inclusive spaces.
